second friday quickie.

I'm in bad shape here; and I'm completely dead unless I reroll my turbo and capture one of his shadow dice... but to what size should I set the turbo?

I'd set the die to 13 sides.
You'll be down 34.5 to 47 after taking his 2-sider, but you'll have 4 winning rolls possible:
7, 11, and 12 all let you take the 10-sider and win by at least 44.5 to 42 if you don't change the turbo die again.
13 will let you take the 20-sider, and give you at least a 50 to 37 win by dropping the turbo die back down below 9 so he can't take it.

the logic is good, but why not make it 14 sides? you'd have 5 chances out of 14 instead of 4 chances out of 13.

Why 13 instead of 14? Because I was thinking too much about the skill attack chances and not enough about the power attacks.
