I can't tell if this one is obvious or not -- insert favorite math joke here. It's still a somewhat similar idea.
OK, in this game, it's DanaMorrigan's turn to move. Her move is forced, she's going to have to take my Stinger 8-sided die with her X Swing 7-sided die. What's the best thing I can do in response? (Of course, it might depend on what she rolls -- she might even roll a 7, too high for me to catch it with my own X swing...). What are my chances of winning in the worst case? What is the worst case?

If played correctly, I don't think it's possible for you to lose this round:
1. DanaMorrigan takes your 8-sider with her 7-sider. You're up by 2/3 of a side.
2. Regardless of what she rolls, you take her 10-sider with your 9-sider. You're up by 10 2/3 sides.
3. Probably as close as there is to a worst-case scenario here is that she can now take your 9-sider. You're up by 1 2/3 sides.
4. You take her 7-sider, which can't have rolled higher than your 10-sider. You win by 8 2/3 sides or 17 2/3 sides, depending on whether you lost the 9-sider.
Yes, that's right. The point was that you have a sure win with 1 move -- no matter what her X Swing die rerolls, you take the stinger 10-sided die with your own X Swing. With any other move, you have some chance of losing.
