closing in on 100 [published] posts

Two different issues here -- which die to use, which die to target. I *think* the answers are obvious,
but I haven't done the math, and sometimes it can surprise me.

not really a question

i. has just one faint chance of winning this. I don't think it's hard to see, I was just struck by how unlikely it is and thought it was pretty.

When you have to keep ALMOST every die...

If I needed to keep all three dice in order to win, I'd reroll the 30 sided die. That's obvious, right?

But which die make the most sense to reroll here? And -- bonus question -- which die should I take? Does it matter that some of them are speed dice?

Button Men Game #700695  [I modified this! Limax's 10-sided die actually showed a value of 9, but I changed it to a value of 1, to make the problem more interesting]

I think this is somewhat interesting, for a simple position

It's just on the edge of calculable (I think I know the answer), but -- while there's no doubt WHICH die to take, it's a little subtle as to which die you should capture it with. Test your intuition, then see if you can do the math. As long as you capture  the obvious die, you'll have at least 90% chance of winning no matter which die you do it with-- but if you take it with the correct die, it shoots up to almost 96%.

To Trip or not to trip.

There are two obvious options -- Either take the 4-sided die [and it's clear I should use the 6-sided die to do it, right?], or make a trip attack in the hopes of snagging a 20-sided die. Which is better?
