No way. If he rerolls now, you have a nearly 1/2 chance of capturing him (9/20). If he doesn't reroll, you have only a 1/4 chance of rolling your 20 uncapturably high (since he'll have one other die remaining to add to the 14|20). Staying put is clearly better.
